Postpartum Warmline
Support for Parents & Families
Why Support Matters for Families
Feeling sad, anxious, or lonely during the postpartum period—or at any stage of parenthood—is more common than many families realize. Having access to emotional and social support can reduce stress, ease feelings of isolation, and help parents feel more confident and supported in caring for themselves and their children. When parents feel heard and understood, the whole family benefits.
The Parenting Connection of Monterey County offers a postpartum warmline, available Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm. While this is not a crisis line, it provides a welcoming, supportive space for anyone facing postpartum challenges to call or text our bilingual warmline specialist. Families can receive emotional support, brief counseling, and referrals to trusted community resources, whether support is needed once or on an ongoing basis.
This resource is available for birthing parents, as well as their partners and family members, because supporting caregivers helps create stronger, healthier families. At PCMC, we believe that accessible, compassionate support plays a vital role in helping parents and children feel connected, confident, and cared for.
